Installing IPCop (1,2,3,4,5,6) (continued..)

Assuming you had a successful probe, your next screen will be assigning the GREEN interface an IP address:

Prepare the Disk

The GREEN interface is your trusted network, and will be your Default Gateway. A good IP to use is 192.168.1.1 This will make your internal network use the 192.168.1.x range. If for some reason you're going to have another router (like a Linksys, DLink, Netgear etc) in front of IPCop, you make want to use something like 10.1.1.1 or 192.168.2.1

So enter an IP address and click OK. Once you click OK, it's going to build the initrd and other linux stuff and you'll be presented with this:

Restore Backup

Yep, IPCop is technically installed, however, we aren't completely done yet! We still have couple configuration tasks before we do the first reboot. The first one is choosing the correct keyboard layout:

Probe for Network Cards

Select us unless you have a reason to choose something different. Next you'll need to choose a timezone:

Card Found

If you are in the USA, scroll down to the US/ section to select your timezone.
