Installing IPCop (1,2,3,4,5,6) (continued..)

On the next screen is where you can still abort without hurting anything on the computer:

Prepare the Disk

/dev/sda is Linux for the Primary IDE controller, master device. Hopefully you have a hard drive in there you don't care about. Press the Enter key and watch as the hard drive is partitioned, formatted and then files are installed to that drive.

The next step is one to remember. It will ask you if you want to Restore or Skip. If you are using this guide to restore a configuration you already had running, you would select Restore and you'll essentially be done. If this is a fresh install of IPCop, you'll select Skip:

After pressing Skip, you'll be presented with this screen:

Probe for Network Cards

Selecting Probe will attempt to identify the first network card in your system. This card will become your GREEN interface and in Linux terms, eth0. A successful probe will look something like this:
